Hutton-in-the-Forest
Hutton-in-the-Forest is the family home of Lord and Lady Inglewood, situated near Penrith, Cumbria. The house and gardens are open to the public. I am artist-in-residence here until late 2015 spending every Wednesday drawing and painting in the grounds with the aim of producing sculpture linking the history of the house and family with the grounds. Last year two pieces of work were on show:Our Time Is Soon History in the walled garden and Strength and Fragility;Dragonfly wings in the house. This year dragonflies eight of them from the installation of over 400 dragonflies above Ullswater (see Outdoor Projects) are on levels in the picture gallery and in the grounds is an installation in the woods of 12 rough white cones which are certainly doing nothing to protect what is around them
